MarkMonitor, the popular corporate brand protection firm, is set to be acquired by Newfold Digital. An agreement has been signed through which the company would be transferred from the erstwhile parent company Clarivate.
Clarivate is an analytics company that provides firms with key insights in innovating and realizing the true potential of their Intellectual Property. The company aims to aid growing companies with key inputs and datasets related to their fields, that could help them achieve their goals.
The company had acquired MarkMonitor in 2016. MarkMonitor’s addition to Clarivate provided a deeper reach into the brand protection of its clients. However, after eight years of collaboration, MarkMonitor would now join Newfold Digital.
Newfold Digital is an aggressive web commerce and technology firm that has a very strong and diverse portfolio. The company in its portfolio includes the likes of Web.com, Register.com, Bluehost, CrazyDomains, HostGator and Network Solutions. The company has made it a pattern of acquiring potential smaller companies to continue its growth.
The acquisition of MarkMonitor by Newfold Digital is a match made in heaven. MarkMonitor’s brand protection services through Domain Solutions would suitably complement Newfold Digital’s extended portfolio.
The agreement was finalized at a price of approximately $302.5 million and is expected to fructify by the end of this year.
