Budweiser launches a NFT racing game

In our previous post, we had talked about how Budweiser entered into the NFT space with the purchase of the spot-on domain Beer.eth. The company sought to establish the company’s branding in the upcoming blockchain space. The company has delved further into decentralised branding with the launch of a new NFT Racing game

Budweiser in association with popular NFT Digital Horse Racing firm Zed Run. Zed Run also has a cool domain name at Zed.run. Zed Run organises digital horse racing events. One of the users sold a NFT racehorse for $125,000.

Budweiser has long been associated with horse racings. The beer brand has already established its presence in the sector with prominent Budweiser Clydesdale branding. Clydesdale is a horse breed, easily identified with its huge size and big paws. Budweiser uses this horse in its branding and to promote horse related events.

The two companies have now joined hands to launch a race involving Clydesdale horses. Three different Clydesdale horse choices are available: 1600 Classic Clydesdales, 100 Gold Clydesdales and 800 Bud Bottle Clydesdales. NFT passes for the event have also been launched. The total prize money pool has been kept at $45, 000. And to add spice to the event Budweiser will be airdropping Clydesdale themed NFT skins.

This is a brilliant way to promote the company’s brand. More than the event, Budweiser would seek a familiarity with the Blockchain users. Budweiser hopes to establish itself as ‘the’ spirit brand that is talked about in the NFT space.
