What does the recent redirection of PokemonSleep.com mean?

Pokemon Fans have something great around the corner. I mean, it’s not official, but the rumours are that a much awaited Pokemon product might finally see the light of the day. That awaited product is Pokemon Sleep.

It was recently observed that the domain name PokemonSleep.com was being redirected to the official website Pokemon.com. The domain name redirected to a page on the Official Website which hosted an event named Pokemon Presents. The event is scheduled to take place on 27th February 2023.

Pokemon Sleep

Pokemon Sleep is an upcoming mobile game announced by The Pokemon Company in May 2019. The game is intended to use a device called the “Pokemon Go Plus+” to track players’ sleeping patterns and translate that data into in-game rewards.

The game is part of a broader initiative by The Pokemon Company called “Pokemon Health“, which aims to encourage healthy habits among players. In addition to Pokemon Sleep, the Pokemon Health initiative also includes an app called “Pokemon Smile” that helps children develop good dental hygiene habits.

However, there hasn’t been much information about Pokemon Sleep since its announcement, and the game’s release has been delayed multiple times.

What could this redirection mean?

Some fans and media outlets have suggested that this redirection could be a hint that more information about Pokemon Sleep may be revealed during the presentation. There are a few reasons why this speculation has arisen.

First, the redirect was unexpected and seemed to come out of nowhere, which has led some people to believe that it was intentionally done to generate hype for the upcoming presentation. Second, Pokemon Sleep has been in development for a few years now and there hasn’t been much news about it since its announcement, so some fans are eager to hear more about the game. Finally, the redirect seems to suggest that The Pokemon Company is still interested in the game and hasn’t abandoned it completely, which is a positive sign for fans who have been eagerly awaiting its release.

It’s important to note, however, that these are just rumours and there hasn’t been any official confirmation from The Pokemon Company or Nintendo regarding Pokemon Sleep or the redirect of the domain name. As with any unconfirmed information, it’s best to take this news with a grain of salt and wait for official announcements before getting too excited!

From this patent, we get more of an insight into what Pokemon Sleep will entail. The app will track our sleep patterns, rewarding us for getting enough hours of rest a day in the form of seeing a Pokemon grow and level up. It will also break our sleep into sections, telling us how much light, deep and REM sleep we get every night.
