After changing the internet consumption pattern globally, ByteDance appears to have put its feet in the apparel sector as well. A report originally published by Egain News, claims that ByteDance has started a new apparel brand Dmonstudio. The new brand deals exclusively in Women Clothing.
Dmonstudio platform claims to be present in more than 100 countries. The platform primarily functions on two domain names: dmonstudio.com and dmonstudio.myshopify.com. Although the platform is new, insiders claim that the work on it has been going on for quite some time and is strongly built from the inside. The platform however, lacks any reference to ByteDance. But this might be because the platform is young and is being tested first before ByteDance discloses association.
The launch of an apparel brand is not something out of the blue. The launch can directly be linked with the rise of Shein. Shein was the most downloaded app in 2021. However, when it comes to the South Eastern market it is comparatively less popular, where it stands at the 6th position. To counter Shein’s rise, Alibaba has already launched AllyLikes.
