As of 2023, an estimated 5.25 billion people, accounting for approximately 66.2% of the world’s population, have access to and actively use the Internet. From the year 2000 to 2023, Internet usage has witnessed an astounding increase of 1,355%. Asia leads the pack with 2,790,150,527 people online, constituting 53.1% of the global Internet population. Notably, North America and Europe boast the highest Internet penetration rates, with 93.4% and 88.4% of their respective populations having Internet access. Surprisingly, the Middle East has experienced a staggering growth of 6,141% in Internet usage since 2000.

The search giant processes over 3.5 billion searches each day, totaling 1.2 trillion searches per year and an astonishing 40,000 searches per second.
