WhatsApp to roll customised Domain Names features

WhatsApp is cooking something awesome for us all. WABetaInfo has reported that the instant messaging application is going to roll out two premium new features. And one of them is a customized domain name feature.

Before we delve into the features it is important to note that these features are not free. What? So, WhatsApp is going to charge us now? No, no. Wait. WhatsApp Business is going to roll out a premium version that will be a paid one. AThe new features come in this premium version. Also, this is optional. If you don’t want it, you can still use WhatsApp Business for free.

Now, coming to the new features. Businesses can create their customised domain names. The domain names would be allotted in this format Wa.me/BusinessName. Businesses can enter their name at the end and Voila, your customised domain name is ready.

These customised domain names would be totally unique. Apart from this, businesses can change their domain name once every 90 days.

Apart from this, WhatsApp is going to roll out multiple device features. In this feature, Businesses can extend the number of devices connected to a single WhatsApp account. Businesses can connect upto 10 devices in a single business account.

WhatsApp’s initial idea was to associate the identity of an entity with a phone number. However, as the internet has it, even they need domain names now!

To use this link, type https://wa.me/phone number of the contact you want to send the text to. You will be directed to the chat straight away. If the phone number entered by you is invalid, WhatsApp will notify you.

WhatsApp users will see a new option called Request account info. “Create a report of your WhatsApp account information and settings, which you can access or port to another app.
