Sucker Punch Renews Infamous Domain, Launches Ghost Of Tsushima

Sucker Punch recently renewed For those whose minds have not been whirring with wild imaginations with that statement, let me tell you: inFAMOUS is a series of action-adventure video games which Sony published on its PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 gaming consoles. The game was quite famous (obviously for all the good reasons), with even a DC Comic Series after it.

Now this renewal might just be their routine work, preventing this prized domain from falling into wrong hands. But what ignites sparks in the gaming community is that Sucker Punch is currently hiring for its next project.

The job roles advertised for are Senior Level QA Tester, Gameplay Programmer, Camera Designer, Producer and Senior Lighting Artist. Details of the postings say that they Camera Designer would “partner with Mission Designers to ensure scripted cameras support unforgettable moments,” and take the player on an “immersive, thrilling experience.”

Sony also revealed the new PlayStation5 a few weeks back. The console looks like a bomb and has me drooling over it. It is scheduled to launch in late 2020. These developments have got gaming enthusiasts excited and speculating. Will it be another entry into the franchise? Or something new entirely? Maybe it’s too early to talk about it.

Sucker Punch made a name for itself working on the Sly Cooper franchise for the PS2, PS3 and PS Vita. It moved to inFAMOUS in the PS3-era. The studio was purchased by Sony back in August 2011, and I don’t think it would want to put one of its most prolific games on the ice for much long. It must be looking to achieve something for the PS5 and a new inFAMOUS game does seem promising.

Sucker Punch’s newset release is the Ghost of Tsushima, which they had been working on for the past 4 years. It is an action-adventure game, to be released today on the PS4. As of now, re-directs to Sucker Punch’s official website
