Google Meet has joined the troupe of its .new domains. You can now simply begin a new meeting by typing meet.new in the address bar. This will open a fully functional Google Meet session in your web browser from where users can send invite links as well as host the meeting.
You can also add numbers at the end of the domain to differentiate between multiple accounts and bookmark them whenever you want to use them. For example, meet.new/1 can be linked to your personal account’s Meet, while meet.new/2 can be used for work.
Other G Suite apps also enjoy the same features with docs.new for documents, sheets.new for spreadsheets, slides.new for presentations, forms.new and sites.new to create forms and websites respectively. Google Chat misses out on this shortcut as Vieta, a chat app for freelancers holds chat.new currently.
